    Hydraulic trailer brake binding

Thanks for your input. I found the problem to be with the surge brake actuator. The rollers have been getting stuck. I adjusted the screws and a bit of lubrication did the trick. Again thanks and Happy 4th. Regards, yhc

    Hydraulic trailer brake binding

Good evening. I recently replaced my tandem axle EZ loader trailer's backing plate and bearing/race, etc for all 4 wheels. I just test drove the trailer and brakes are working fine but may be too well.... After a few miles the hubs were getting warm to touch, as they should, but one was...

    Flushing trailer brake fluids

Good morning. I changed the brake backings on my 2003 EZ loader (tandem axle trailer w/ surge drum brakes) yesterday. I tried to use vacuum device to flush the brake fluids from the system but still getting some bubbles after flushing 16 oz of brake fluids--I think it is from the zerk fitting...

Thank you for the replies, Boris and Bob. I did not realize the Furuno unit takes one or the other until I talked with the local Furuno dealer yesterday. From Furuno website, I had an impression that I can choose either chip/card for the Navnet unit that's coming with the boat...

Which Chart Card for Furuno Navnet?

Good morning. The boat I recently purchased came w/ Furuno Navnet system (2003). I am looking for a chart plotter card for it and am doing a research on the topic. Obviously Furuno has their chart cards but I also see that Navionics and C-Map would be good candidates as long as they are...

Taking Down Furuno Navnet antenna unit

Good evening. I will need to take down the radar antenna unit in order to move it interstate on a flat bed trailer. How difficult is it to take it down the unit from radar arch and put it back on at a later time? Regards, yhc

Good morning to you all and thank you for your replies. To answer some of your questions...I have looked long and hard for a C-Dory and even came close to purchasing one from a forum member here last fall but ended up getting an aluminum boat this week. :D The boat is 26' long, 8.5' wide...

Transporting a boat from Southern Cal to Alaska

Good morning to you all. I am planning to purchase a boat from Southern Cal then bringing it up to Alaska. I am wondering what would be the best & economical way of transporting it. I am looking at ground transporters (towing the boat on its trailer) vs. barge services or combination thereof...

    "C-Dory RedFox" and her projects...

You get this 100 lb king salmon on your line and the fish is moving from starboard to stern then to port side...but you have extra poles sticking out from the poop-deck! That looks pretty awesome! Great job. Regards, yhc P.S. I like your AIRE inflatable kayak as well.

    C-Dory vs. SeaSport

Thank you all for your replies. I will know what finer points to look for when I finally visit the dealer(s) once I get home in a few weeks. Sawdust, I realize this is a C-Dory forum thus when I mentioned "unbiased" opinion it was more as a "tongue in cheek" comment. I did pose the...

    C-Dory vs. SeaSport

Good morning everyone. I recently started to look into getting an all purpose boat (i.e.) for family cruising on weekends, fishing, hunting, etc. I have always been fond of C-Dorys but as I am researching into this topic, I've come across Sea Sport brochures. They seemed to be very well built...

    C-Dory in Alaskan water?

Thank you everyone for your responses. You all have given me much good information to ponder upon. Might as well as I am currently sitting in the middle of a desert in Iraq, about half way between Euphrates and Tigris...there is no close large body of water to speak of. I will have some time...

Good morning. I am looking into purchasing a C-Dory in the near future. I will be mostly using the boat in Alaskan water for cruising with my family, fishing and hunting.
