    Corrosion from Galvanized Chain

Hi again Tom, I was reading this anchoring discussion and it rattled my old brain. The weight of the chain was in the boat when I got it from the dealer. He thought that the boat balanced better with a lot of bow weight. However I forgot that Tom has added some other mods that increased the...

I did not make my self clear enough about the booking for the Franklin Locks Camp Ground and Marina. The camp ground is probably full up. The marina usually has space most times. Good showers, water and electric. At the right price. Note: the entrance is on the North side of the river. East...

    C-Pup lesson on ethanol woes

Good advise from all. I did not have an easy way to get non ethanol fuel. I used Startron in every tank of fuel. My Honda 90 had carb problems from early on in life. It may have been dirt from the factory. I stopped draining the carbs on my lawn equipment just used Startron. Even the old two...

Any interest in the Hudson River or Erie Canal this summer

If you get to the Hudson be sure to get on the Erie at Waterford and do the flight of five. I think it is the highest lift in the shortest distance of any canal in the world. Try it you will like it!.

    Foldaway bikes

I purchased mine at West Marine about 5 or 6 years ago. It is made in China so it did need a little tune up at the local bike shop. Over the years I have improved it by changing to a good set of 20" tires. About $50. each but they roll a lot better. I ride it hard every day in the winter time in...

    Nordic Tug furloughs workforce

It would seem to me that companies with a good product like Nordic Tugs should just improve the sizes they started with 26 and 37 and keep prices reasonable with the quality increasing with each boat built. Just my thoughts. However our MONK trawler was never changed very much and the prices got...

Sounds like fun. Some of our favorite stops are LaBelle. Several nights free dockage just before the bridge with water and elect. Roland Martins Marina is a good stop in Clewiston, Fla. The Clewiston Inn will pick you up at the marina for dinner or lunch. Food is good and not too expensive...

    Anyone replace the bunk cushions?

We went to a foam mattress manufacturer and had a new matress and cover made. My wife picked a very expensive fabric and we used memory foam. The price was bad, but we sure slept well. They did the whole job using the original cushions as a pattern.

My wife loved all the cat talk, but I kinda missed talking about the boat. Mr. Gray is in kitty haven and...
