I had one on our Whaler and worked great. We bottom painted right over it and it held strong for years. We beached that boat all the time, we never beach the C-Dory because we are in tidal waters now so no need for us to consider one.

Pulled fuel tanks and replaced the fuel pickups. Drilled out the holes in the deck and filled w/ epoxy and repainted with rust oleum topside.
