Here is a scupper upgrade on my CD25 courtesy of the original owner. The diameter has been increased 50% and there is an interior backflow preventer.

I saw a CD25 in McCovey Cove at ATT ballpark on TV during the Minnesota Twins vs. SF Giants baseball game last weekend. It was my boat, as I was viewing the recorded game at home afterwards.

Pat, My 3100 started flaking out about two years ago like yours. At first just a couple of segments on the display disappeared, then it got progressively worse. I spoke with Tom Stevens on the phone and he sounds like a stand up guy, so I will be sending my unit off to him. I could fix it...

In addition to reading about boating, enroll in a US Power Squadron course now, before you get a boat. This involves more of a commitment on your part which will test your interest, and it will help you prepare for this wonderful world of boating. It will reduce your insurance premium, too.

I have had trouble with over the air reception in marinas. All of the aluminum sail boat masts cause a massive multipath problem. The broadcast signal gets reflected and distorted from all different directions and makes reception virtually impossible.

Boris - What kind of lubricant should be applied to the exposed piston shaft that slides into and out of the hydraulic seal? Is applying some hydraulic fluid sufficient?
