    c-dory verse sea sport

After much consideration I chose the Skagit Orca over the C-Dory (and Osprey and Parker) for similar reasons as some other folks (no pounding, stand-up head etc.) For me the level of components used on the Orca influenced my decision; I was just at the boat show and the same light fixtures for...

    New Buyer Question on Twins

I will say from experience that having 2 motors affords a level of comfort; especially if you have a family on board; I was heading home one night and lost a motor and my 5 year-old never even knew anything was wrong! If you don't mind the extra maintenance go for the twins.

    Stripers

    Electric Wipers?

I cannot imagine not having electric wipers. My Skagit Orca has a cool feature which has a separate switch for each individual wiper and an additional switch which fires all three at once! It sounds decadent, but I use both depending on what I need at the time.

    side view mirrors?

The one I saw was actually mounted on the bow rail out the starboard window. Since I have the extended cabin with the full shower/bathroom it makes seeing aft port side a challenge on a busy day, so I was thinking out the port window to get back some of that blind spot: http://www.buccella.com/boat

    side view mirrors?

does anyone have side view mirrors on their boat? I saw an older Osprey with side-view mirrors and I thought it looked like a good idea (given the blind spots on our style boats.)

    Wallas Fuel

Moorestown is one of my favorite communities in New Jersey! (Pennsauken, on the other hand, you would not recognize after the Republican convention in Philly. No more strip, just a nice view of the Cooper River on the south side of Admiral Wilson Blvd. if you can believe it!) we are in...
