Tom: The limit for sockeye on the Taku is 5 fish per person or 10 per house hold of more than one person so we got 10. We weighed the fish and they came out to 77 pounds for the 10 (without guts and heads) which is very unusual. I suspect that because we are fishing at the end of the season...

Spent a couple of days up the Taku river gill netting sockeye and it was the best fishing we have seen in years. 4 Permit holders limited out in 2 hours and all of the sockeye were 8 - 10 pounds (hogs for sockeye). Kind of nice to have a healthy fishery around with all of the poor fishing this...
