Thanks folks for all the help --- it looks like I will use the bolt through method for the hinge repair job.
Shouldn't need to re-visit the job once done ( I hope).
Thanks again
Jim :beer :beer
MY lower door hinge screws have come loose and look to stripped out. The screws are fine the holes are stripped.
What have others done if others have had problems with this to make repairs for something like this.
I sure would like some help.
Thanks Jim
Don't know what your looking for in entertainment but nothing wrong with entertaining yourself. As for showers Brannan Island State park has new showers and you can cook your food the way you like it.
Have fun and take your mosquito spray.

We have the EU2000 and it works out great for the boat the camper and the motorhome ( as a back up unit). Plus what with living in earthquake country it just might be good to have a little back up power for the home refrigerator.
YES SIZE WILL MATTER

This has been a good month to bust things.
First the antenna now the transducer. Or should I say hunk of junk sticking in the water.
Time to go shopping for a replacement transducer. What is the transducer of choice for a Garmin 2006c? The one I have or had was a Airmar triducer P66 which worked...
Reply to Roger on the Dreamer.
From what I can gather the GPS antenna degrades over time if the radar beam passes over it and that must be what was taking place. ??
The new GPS antenna is now placed where it can't get struck with radar beam.
Another stupid question from me but -- nothing...
Ok I got some good feed back on the antenna question and hope others were able to glean a little info for themselves.
I have the 12 inch extension to put the GPS antenna above the radar but would like to go higher. This would be in the hopes of not cooking the GPS antenna again. I know how...
Just a note for the person from Rochester NY & others. The question was could you just tape your antenna back up and would it work. ---- I gave it a try with my busted 8500 shakespeare, which is now 5 ft. not 8ft anymore. I cut it off smooth and put a rubber cap over the cut off part and IT...
Thanks for all the input from everyone.
It's good to know I'm not the onlyone that has had the sensation of hearing a (POP) while backing the rig into the drive. That sound of (POP) gets your attention and your wallet.
I'll go with the shakespeare and save a few buck$$$$.
Thanks :beer
Jim
While backing the boat into my sideyard drive I made the 8 ft. antenna into two 4 ft. antennas. You guessed it half of an 8 ft. antenna just isn't quite right.
Question is what what would you use for a replacement?
The salmon fishing was great just south of Bodega Bay Ca.

This will be a great tirp, but two weeks each way may be a little tight. Things come up like the wind and water + S----- can happen both good and bad.
Make the trip safe and plan in a few extra days and nights.
good luck

Most rigs can tow most anything --- BUT --- can your little jeep, car, or truck get that towed rig to stop in less than a mile.
good luck and be safe
