    Suzuki DF200ATX3 Fuel Economy

I bought a new Suzuki Water Grip 3x16x17 prop and have been running it for a few hours now. Is making 35 mph at 6000 RPM and about 2.1 mpg at WOT. At 5000 rpm makes 29-30 mph and 2.5 mpg. Can get 2.8 to 3 backing off a bit more (all on flat water) but that's it until I get to hull speed. Gets up...

Wanna put in a really big, comfy, ultra plush helm seat....but how?

Steve, I took your advice and bought one. I like it a lot, and it sure beats my 21 year old C-Dory original that had lost it's "lift". Thanks. Rod

Prop recommendation for Suzuki 200 on a 25

I am running (my boat came with) a 3x16x18.5 on my Suzuki 200. It's good but I have learned here that I am not making full RPM's (I think, I am remembering only 5400 rpm @ WOT, just about to launch for the season to confirm) and it was recommended that I go to a 17" pitch if I am not hitting...

Truck and Trailer Storage - Troy, NY (?) Going north on Lake Champlain

I am on Lake Champlain. Troy has a pretty rough reputation, so maybe not a lot of cruisers around there. I have a 1o+ year old cruising guide for the Hudson (and Lake Champlain). Would you like me to post some of the marinas listed for you to call and see what's available?

    Questions from a Dealership employee.

To be fair, literally, a dealer in Florida has a transportation cost to get the boat on the lot that is substantial $$$$ compared to one in the PNW, so protecting distant dealers is likely a fair piece of the thinking, I suspect.

    Suzuki DF200ATX3 Fuel Economy

Last Fall running light on my 25 my Suzuki 200 was running 5400 WOT (I think) and about 35 mph @ 2.0 mpg (or slightly better) on a 3x16x18.5. Been thinking about what I want to buy for a spare and looking for suggestions...?

    repair rub rail

I had to reattach a decent section near the stern on my 25. I pulled out the rubber and used like 1.5" sst round head machine screws with fender washers and nylock nuts inside, and a healthy dose of 4200 sealant. Two person job, your interior access may vary, mine was a bear reaching in under...

    Windshield wipers

I had to lube the joints on mine to get them to draw down tight again also.

New '05 25 Cruiser owner in Vermont

Working on a new name for my 25 still. I was removing the vinyl letters and tiger graphic recently and discovered some raised lettering underneath the vinyl. Looks like hand painted letters with a coat of paint on top (all very chalky), but the interesting part is the boat used to be named "Just...

Replacing Cockpit Bilge on 2005 CDory 25 Cruiser.

On my 2005 25' Cruiser I have the same pump and switch. It gave me trouble getting it sorted after I got it this summer. There was a stone in the impeller so the bilge pump didn't work at all. The circuit breaker in the dash was tripped and the float side didn't power at all. I cleared the stone...

Water Leaks Into Cabin of 2003 25' Cruiser

Ben, thanks for starting this thread. I am dealing with a similar issue on my new-to-me 25. When I put it on a slip about three weeks ago it started occasionally bubbling up small amounts of water from a couple of screw holes by the thru hulls under the cabin step. I plugged them with some...

How hard can you be on a C-Dory

Donald, I just got my 25 out on Lake Champlain this month and after my first trip I put a Stingray hydrofoil on it. This lake has the shortest wave periods and keeping the engine trimmed all the way down with the hydrofoil lifting the rear makes the ride much quieter and more comfortable (my 10...

    Ford Bronco Towing a C-Cory 22 is a no-no? What The?

I own a towing business and have been to a variety of truck towing boat wrecks. When using a bumper hitch you are just asking for trouble if the tow vehicle is mismatched with the towed one. You are best off with the two being equal weight. With gooseneck or 5th wheel hitches the tow vehicle can...
