while hitting the first day of scallop season, it opened 2 weeks early 'cause of the BP fiasco, we saw two c-dorys, looked like 22's, out by gomez rocks. hi to you, hopefully we'll hook up next time.

I just installed an HDS7 on my 22' and am very impressed with it. The screen is just right for me, doesn't block your view and the detail on both the sonar and gps is amazing. And you don't need an external antenna.

that' a good link, bob. the captains course teaches all of those rules, but it's always good to have a hard copy with you in unfamiliar waters. the coast guard aux. also has short courses in navigation and rules of the road, which i've heard are really helpful. be safe and happy sailing!

i have been on the 26 venture at three rivers and it is a sweet boat, but it has been for sale for 2+ years. i don't know how often it has been run. i bought my 22 from marc at wefings and they are great people to deal with. good luck and happy sailing. bob

i use the kenyon stove and it works great with a percolator, we like our coffee too. you can get the canisters online, shipping is expensive. the best place i found them, sorry d.d., was west marine. bob

i drove for a trucking co. outta mn., and we had espar heaters in our bunks. we didn't have to idle for heat 'til it was about 20 degrees or below - to keep the fuel from gelling. i never had a problem keeping warm, or with fumes or noise. the cabs were alot bigger than the space of the 22.

Thanks Charlie. There is water in the tank, with a foot pump and a little water by the bilge pump. The batteries are topped off and motors are down. I'll pick up some of that antifreeze tomorrow. Thanks for the info. Keep warm!
