    Electronics are already one of the lowest margin marine items. Can't see prices getting much lower unfortunately. The benefits may have to come in what Best Buy can bundle (other accessories as an example) or the simple perqs like RewardZone credits, etc.

    Hi Larry, I hear you ... BUT ... I guess if I think I'm working a channel --- say negotiating a passing situation, transfer, landing, etc. --- and the VHF switches "automatically" (unilaterally) from my working station to 16 ... well, that certainly is a LARGE failure of my expectations...

    Hi Folks, If anyone is thinking of getting an Apple iPad, you may want to wait for a few more weeks. The iPad 3G will have a GPS receiver. Probably a better choice for mariners. Best, Mark
