I've never cruised with a "light boat". I'm always fighting weight in my boat. I want to take everything I own! Heavily loaded I cruise at about 23 - 26 mph. The Gulf seems like it is always choppy so this is a good speed for me.

Hopefully you have enjoyed Mississippi's barrier islands. They are truly a unique experience if you want to be alone with nature. God has blessed Mississippi with beautiful natural resources. Happy Easter to all C-Brats. He is risen!!!

I want to join in. At no time would the cost of fuel stop us from using the Delta Belle. We might have to save up $ for a couple of months to get to the barrier islands, but it will be worth the sacrifice. If we have to we will use the kicker @ 3 mph to get there.
