    Trailer for 23’ Cape Cruiser

A 23’ Cape Cruiser is for sale in Florida that has no trailer. Does anyone know what make of trailer fits this model? Are these boats the same as a c-Dory? I have not seen it yet. Any advice greatly appreciated.

    C-Dory 22 searching

Thanks very much Gary. 30 knots is more than enough speed for me. I generally run my 26’ panga in the low 20s. Some of the You Tube videos show all the nooks and crannies in a C-Dory loaded with cruising gear. I assume all that weight would slow the boat some. But we need less stuff here in...

    C-Dory 22 searching

There is a nice looking CD 22 for sale in South Florida that has caught my eye. I haven’t had a boat this small in decades. But at 77 it is time to throttle back, or so says my wife. It is powered by a Suzuki 90. I assume that will get it up on plane without a struggle. I see lots of CD22s...

Is a C-Dory the right boat for me?

This is great intel for this potential C-Dory buyer. I live in the Lower Florida Keys. When running in the Back Country (Gulf of Mexico side) the water depth can change from deep channels to a foot or less in a nano second. The CD's shallow draft could be a great benefit. I used to work on the...

    Floating boat storage

I'm a C-brat want-to-be. I currently store my 26' Imemsa panga on a Dock Blocks floating dock. I use engine power to get my boat up and out of the water. I winch it back enough for the lower unit to get a good bite, then power the boat back in the water. Question: do you think the C-Dory hull...

    Bottom cleaning, San Juan Islands

I am 76 now, but as a young man I had an underwater service business in Miami. Fouling growth is a huge problem in our very warm water. I had regular customers who had me come once a month to dive under their boats and gently remove the algae slime that would seal their anti fouling paint...

SOLD - C-Dory 2004 25 Cruiser for sale, new listing soon.

Hi Bob Austin and BillE. I appreciate the quick response. I plan on visiting Welfings in early November. I am also going to see one in North Carolina. BTW I really don't plan on taking a C-Dory, or any boat, into 5' chop, but stuff happens. My plan is to make repeated trips to Dry Tortugas, 70...

SOLD - C-Dory 2004 25 Cruiser for sale, new listing soon.

I don't see many C-Dory boats in the Lower Florida Keys. How are the 25s at anchor in high temperature locations like The Keys and Bahamas? Do they get good air flow at anchor? I'm in the market for a trailer able boat with accommodations. There are two C-Dory 25s for sale in North Florida and...

Handling a C-Dory in Rough Seas

I am shopping for a used C-22 and will be inspecting my first one next week. The deep V majority around the Florida Keys tell me I'm nuts to consider a flat bottom boat. The thing is, I already have a 26' Imemsa panga which has a flat delta pad running down the center of the bottom. It's only a...

What Should I Know Before Buying a Boat?

Hi C-BRATS. I recently saw my first C-dory and like the looks of it and I've been boating most of my 73 years. I think the reason I haven't seen one before is because I live in the Florida Keys, about 27 miles from Key West, or 90 miles north of Havana. I've read the C-dory is very popular in...
