    Legend has passed

I'm so sorry to hear of Roger's passing. He was a fun guy, always had interesting conversations with him. My condolences go out to his bride, Cheryl. I will miss his trombone playing on the docks. RIP Roger Peter

    Edmonds Area 10 Coho

Thanks for taking me out Patrick. It was a blast to limit out so quickly! And thanks a lot for giving me the itch to start looking at getting a CD22 again. I didn't realize I would miss having a boat so much lol. Peter

    Marinaut Update

No worries Harvey. The inboard diesels are definitely not go fast planing hulls. However, the new generation R23, R27 and now the R25 are all outboard planing hulls that WANT to go fast. Our R23 would rather go 30 mph than 20. It takes a lot of control on my part to keep it under 25mph...

    Marinaut Update

Correction Harvey. As you know, we now own an R23 and it is definitely a planing hull. We usually get on plane at about 17 mph and she does prefer to cruise around 22-27 mph. Obviously the fuel burn is not like the CD22, 2 mpg or less and 10+ gph. Trade-offs right? Peter

    SOLD - 2006 19' C-Dory $28,000 (WA)

Whoever buys this boat is going to get a fishing machine! I've spent many successful days fishing on this boat with Dwight. Good luck in your sale buddy! Peter

    Pre purchase questions

I notice the boat has twin Suzuki 90hp motors. We had that same motor on our 2005 CD-22 of the same vintage. I loved that motor until... the infamous dissimilar metal corrosion problem surfaced at exactly 1000 hours, the engine was 10 years old. The engine was flushed meticulously after each...

    C-Dory Sightings

We met a nice young man in Bellingham last weekend who owned a green 1995 CD-22 named Rocinante. I believe his name was Jeff. Jeff, if you read this, you may recall we were discussing plastic fuel tanks when we had to run off to catch our Uber. You might be interested in reading the current...

Alaska Series tender with long-shaft outboard

We had the 240 TDS on our boat for 12 years. It was a tough, stable dinghy. You can see it in my pics. It fit perfectly on the roof of our CD22. We did use the motor bracket with a Suzuki 2.5hp. You're correct, it wasnt very stable, sometimes bending under due to the rubber inflatable...

Heckuva deal! If I were in the market for a CD22, I'd jump on this. We loved our 2005 C-Dancer. Peter

    Newbie has a question

Tom, you were thinking about Chris Bulovsky from Wisconsin. He is the master craftsman who did an incredible job of rebuilding a C-Dory that had its top sheared off after an accident on the Oregon coast I believe. Resuscitation of a boat

    Classic 22 bow rail

You can rest easy Mike as I have a funny story to share. C-Dancer was brand new in 2005 and we kept her at Twin Bridges dry stack storage from the very beginning. We had only taken her out one time before. On our 2nd time out, the forklift operator had problems taking her off the rack...

    Nootka!!!

Hi Harvey, The 1st Nations tribe who owns the Gold River launch renovated it a couple of years ago and they did a nice job. It was pretty rickety before that. They also can store your truck and trailer behind a secure fenced area. You need to bring Canadien $ and its pricey but well worth...

    We've got a Winner!

Fish magnet is right! I had a terrible summer catching salmon this past summer. Dwight hops on our boat and proceeds to catch the 4th biggest fish in the derby. Yes, quite the fisherman! Peter
