    Pre-resolving my two-footitis

As Capt. Jim mentioned we have owned a Rossi after a CD22 and a Grady 25. Most of the pertinent comments on the differences have already been made. Ours was fitted out by the legendary Les at EQ with just about all the bells and whistles available at that time and happily took us a number of...

    Happy Anniversary, Joe and Ruth!

Hi Jim & Joan, I fear the land travel days were terminated by a face to face, unpremeditated, (aren't they all) contact with an immovable object causing me time at "Harborzoo" and large donation to the Chinese Titanium industry which makes big truck and 5th wheel a bit too physical so they will...

    Happy Anniversary, Joe and Ruth!

What other boat is comparable to the dory 25-26?

Having owned both a CD 22 and an RF246 I can confirm Bob's opinion. The RF is considerably heavier and if you have the version with the integral platform you will not fit at all well in a 25ft slip. Both excellent boats. Da Grump.

    05/12 - 05/14 - Friday Harbor C-Brats Get-Together

FYI all C-Brats going to Friday Harbor. They had a large fire in town today. Should not affect the meeting at all but there is one watering hole less to visit. One of the videos from KOMO shows about 1 for of the fire fighting efforts. Very sad for the business owners right at the start of the...

C-Dory & or Rosborough for the Loop.

BTDT. Loved both. I think the important differences have been covered. You have to learn the characteristics of each boat (and there are some differences). Only thing I would add is that an RF 246 with full hull extension is the l longest 25 ft you will ever see. You may need 30 ft of linear...

    Very Quiet in the Broughtons

Apologies if this has been listed here before but I would thoroughly recommend 3 books by Billy Proctor (and Alexandra Morton) "Heart of the Raincoast" Alexandra Morton and Billy Proctor which effectively tells his life story and leads you to the present day works of Alexandra to restore the...

Anyone willing to check out a boat near Freeland Washington?

Grumpy is still above ground  and still checking on you guys. Looks like this one is being taken care of but if not, then I will try to help. I will check my e-mail. I see my trusty server has quarantined a bunch. Stay safe Y'all. Merv

    Suggestions for puget sound stops

The place in Langley that Tom is referring to is the Saltwater Fish house & Oyster Bar and is right next to Prima Bistro (Which is an upstairs deck owned by the same people.) Both are excellent. Coupeville also has a wharf and a number of great shops and restaurants. They have a great bakery...

    Honda BF 150A wont start

Had a similar story of BF150 refusing to start next morning after a rough passage. Reluctant local Honda mech with computer could find nothing wrong and had no further time for about 1 month. Boat was in Canada. Suspected the ECU. Honda Canada not very interested in warranty on Honda US...

Got My CPAP - First Experiences

Good point. Maybe I will get some S/W to do that too. Right now I just twiddle the dials and get basic info like IHI and whether I have been leaking (air). Can't get away with a fiddle on the settings 'cos the modem would tell on me. Thks.

Got My CPAP - First Experiences

I am a little confused (Normal) as to why some of you apparently need additional software etc to get results and updated advice. I have annual appointments with the Doc who prescribed the machine. My result history is on a removable micro-card (also updates directly by modem to the Doc) So when...

Got My CPAP - First Experiences

Pat, Long time no see but I have been down this road for a long time now thanks to that Harvey character ganging up with Kathy and forcing me to go see the nasty man with the many wires and sensors. (Actually, all thanks to Harvey for doing that. This is not an issue to mess with) The mask fit...

Congratulations all 4 of you. Enjoyed reading every word. Think Baxter deserves a "Great Pooper" flag as well. Merv & Kathy
