    Electric Trailer Winch

Hi Boris, Thanks for the write up! Like you, I have a roller bunk set up and have grown tired of winching the boat up. What was the cost of that power winch and where did you purchase it? Thanks, Grazer

Glacier Bay, SE Alaska fishing hotspots

That's some good advise. I heard that fishing is pretty good in GB itself as most people there are sightseeing, not fishing. Pretty excited to do both! Thanks for the info.

Glacier Bay, SE Alaska fishing hotspots

Hi there Brats, For those fortunate enough to ply the waters of SE Alaska, particularly the Hoonah, Glacier Bay, Icy Straight region, can you share some halibut/salmon hot spot areas to fish? I am heading that way in a couple of weeks and would really like to narrow my search down a bit to get...

    Finished Product Transom Table/Cooler Rack

Thanks for all the links to source out the raw materials for this project. It looks like it is totally worth doing. I never even thought about adding a cushion for a seat back there but that would also work. Thanks again. Grazer

Love the cooler/cut table. I am thinking of manufacturing one of these too. Where did you acquire the stainless steel bar? Thanks, Grazer

    Oars on a Cruiser

Thanks for all the replies and comments. Of course, I was not thinking of a practical solution for sole source propulsion system, but rather something to employ when the canoe paddle doesn't work. I agree that a 10' modern oar like the ones used in white water rafts would be the best choice...

    Oars on a Cruiser

Has anyone mounted oar locks and propelled a C-dory using oars? Given the light weight (relatively) of the boat and having the main motor extended out of the water, one should be able to oar a C-Dory. If it's been done, I am interested to here from those who have this set up. Sitting...

Marina 30 amp service to battery charger

Thanks for all the responses. I like the adaptor that Bob depicted. That would serve me well and it looks like it has some sort of GFI protection built in. No, my 22 cruiser does not have a galvanic isolator on board. I only plan to use the charger once in a while when out for extended trips.
