Good catch, lazarette covers are original ones, we've sealed the edges of balsa inside the opening and drilled/filled the cover holes, new watertight covers are on our project list.

Thanks all for your thoughts, much appreciated. We have a Garmin 740S chartplotter so it sounds like a Garmin AP would be a good way to go. As for AP pump loction the starboard lazarette sounds like a good location. We'll let you know how it goes.

Were running twin 40 Mercury Big Foot engines on our Cruiser 22. Top end is about 22mph with two adults, full fuel, and rigged for trolling on Lake Superior. This is slower that we expected although not a big concern. When on plane at full thottle the bow seems high and falls off to either side...
