My Tom Cat has a new home in Alaska!

You know how they say the 2nd happiest time in a boat owner's life is when the boat is sold? Very true. After dealing with two previous prospective buyers, both of whom pulled out literally at the last minute (one bought another boat that came back on the market the day before he was going to...

Update on sale of my Tom Cat and dinghy

We (Lori and myself on our Tom Cat "Lori Ann" and, Jack and Debbie Spear on their 22 "Obsession", which they trailered from Madison, WI) are back from a 3 week sunset cruise to Princess Louisa, the Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands. While more rain than last year it was a beautiful "sunset"...

    Where is EZ-Loader VIN, etc.?

Thanks, guys -- found it immediately! Unfortunately the deal with the Canadians fell through entirely due to the complexity of international payments without delays or fees. So now the boat is going to EQ to be sold on consignment. Warren

    Where is EZ-Loader VIN, etc.?

I'm selling my Tom Cat to a couple in Canada and they need a bunch of trailer stuff to satisfy their insurance company and Canada Customs. Where do I find the following info on the trailer (taken from a Canadian Govt document)? 1. It must bear a legible, valid, 17-digit VIN that has been issued...

2006 Tom Cat “Lori Ann” $82,000 (Anacortes, WA)

I’m selling my 2006 C-Dory Tom Cat, well-equipped. This boat was purchased from Master Marine in Mt. Vernon, WA and was extensively rigged by Les Lampman and Stan Holmes at EQ Marine. HULL & PROPULSION — Factory EZ-Loader trailer — Trailer brakes converted from surge/hydraulic to...

    22 hull specs?

You are right -- the PDF is specified in degrees. Sorry, my bad. Warren

    22 hull specs?

Thanks, Bob. I think inside depth is what you measured as depth of cockpit. Like you, I am used to specifying deadrise in degrees but this particular hull is specified in inches. I can eyeball it for the other dimensions. Warren

    22 hull specs?

I'm trying to compare another boat's hull to the C-Dory 22 (not classic) but am stymied when I search online for some of the specs. I have found Length 22'0" Beam 7'8" Transom height 20" (not an official spec; is this correct?) I am unable to find Inside depth Deadrise forward, amidships &...

    Solar charger for winter storage

For part of the year I have my Tom Cat in a storage lot that does not have electric power available. When in storage I run a couple of dehumidifiers (60W light bulb & fan) plus I need to keep the battery topped off. I'd like to get something like the Coleman unit discussed in this thread...

Erie Canal--See-Saw and other boats--my article & photos

Shouldn't be too hard. A Google search of "australian labradoodle florida" gives you several pages of breeders in FL. Warren

Erie Canal--See-Saw and other boats--my article & photos

In our search for the ideal boat dog we ended up with two Australian Labradoodles, the female is 27# and the male is 33#. The Australian variety is different from the standard full-size 60+# Labradoodle cross (Lab & Standard Poodle) because they have had Cocker Spaniel and some others bred into...
