    the C-Dory effect

It never fails that when I pull in to buy gas someone starts a conversation. My favorite response so far is "that's a heck of a lot of boat in 16 feet"!

    IT'S SO CUTE!!!

When "Cute" came out of my wife's mouth I knew the boat was mine. She was in no hurry to buy another boat until she actually saw a C-Dory. Every time we take it out someone wants to see the boat and usually cute is used to describe it. Ain't it great?

I ended up installing 2 Scotty's, love them and intend to attach 2 more. Still, always looking for new and better ideas. Thans, don

    AMF Slickcraft SS 245

If you decide to take this on there is a very helpful website which covers not only building new but repaining old boats. They are the reason I own a C-Dory, one of the boats I had wanted to build was styled after the 16, unfortunately I'm very allergic to epoxy, didn't figure that out until I...

    Rod Holders

Thanks guys. I appreciate the responses. Still concerned about mounts on the cross member of the splash well. Anone that has mounted anything to it, did you screw or through bolt whatever it was that you installed. There has got to be more opinions on rod holders out there. This salty bunch...

    Rod Holders

I want to install rod holders on my 16 Cruiser. I'm thinking of the Scotty's or Cabalas, something along those lines. Question? What is the best way to install them. The top of the spash well seems thick, is it balsa core? Do I need to drill oversize fill with epoxy and redrill? Which...

    Vinyl seat repair

Capt Charlie, is it a local nauga ranch? I knew a fellow Navy Chief that always wanted to own one when he retired. His back-up plan was a pet rock farm. Memories of sea duty.

    1996 16' C-DORY CRUISER, $10,300 (PARKSLEY, VA.)

I won't be taking it up the Bay, I didn't buy it to camp on. I'm a little to old to be spending overnighters on a 16. Lots of interesting water to explore close to home. I would love to attend, I'll see what the Capt. has to say, it may be a day trip to check out other C Dory's. Anyway...

    16 footers

I live a short distance from the Chesapeak Bay, closer to the York River. Would eithor of these boats be adequate for those bodies of water? It's only a matter of money, I would much prefer the 19!!!
