    MMSI

I remember hearing something about BoatUS MMSI numbers and not being registered with ITU. I did a quick search and this is what I came up with: MMSI Demystified It basically says that unless you are traveling internationally and get a station license from the FCC with an MMSI number you will...

Restored Coast Guard Search and Rescue Boat

I've seen that ad before, it's been for sale quite a while. I was stationed in Monterey 92-96 as a Radioman at the Group where that 44 was homeported. Never got underway on it, but did have to go load radio codes on it quite a bit.

    Any C-Brats in Fairbanks, AK?

It's a long shot, but perhaps try calling "The Boat Shop" since they did recent work on the engine, they may know some history of the boat.

    Poling Platform?

The only one I can think of is what Greg on Redƒox put on his 22 Classic. I know he used to be active on this board, but not sure if he visits anymore. He has his own website at C-Dory Redƒox. He does a lot of fabricating - I tend to think of him as Alaska's answer to Jessie James (of West...

Any R-21EC's or R25's in Alaska?

Welcome to the board! I'd be interested to hear how your 25 performs in Seward. I know the afternoons can get pretty choppy there. I used to go down for the Silver Salmon Derby every year growing up.

    Need to raise motor

    I stand corrected.

Any R-21EC's or R25's in Alaska?

Now if only those owners can find this website and chime in! Didn't know AKM&D had any in stock. I may have to stop by next time I'm in Anchorage. It seems all my trips to Anchorage are rushed though. Wouldn't have anything to do with only having ONE store in Valdez...

    Need to raise motor

Never raised a motor before, but I figure I can put in my $.02 worth anyway! I would venture a guess that it would be ok to do what you propose, but I would also add a thin strip of material (starboard, perhaps?) along the top of the transom to fill in the gap that you raise the outboard. I...

Any R-21EC's or R25's in Alaska?

Thanks for the reply. I've read the article that is posted on the Ranger's homepage about the three that went from Washington to Alaska. It's a good article, but would like more opinons on how the tugs handle the water and currents rather than a travel log. I've wanted a C-Dory for a long...

Any R-21EC's or R25's in Alaska?

Been a member of this board for a long time, but don't post often. I'm ashamed to admit that I (sometimes) don't even check this board on a regular basis. Anyway, back to to subject of my rare post. Does anybody know of any Ranger Tugs in Alaska? I see that AK Mining & Diving is...

    2002 16' Cruiser - Anchorage, AK

I ran across this advertisement on Craigslist. I'm not affiliated with the seller in any way. Just thought somebody on here might be interested. http://anchorage.craigslist.org/boa/379370140.html

Ted (Sea Duck), I sent you an e-mail.

    2002 22 Cruiser, $40,000 (Fairbanks, AK)

I should, but I honestly don't think I can get financing on it yet. Need to pay off a few other bills first. I would hate to waste someone's time when I know I can't make a deal.

    2002 22 Cruiser, $40,000 (Fairbanks, AK)

I just saw this boat sitting on the trailer here in Valdez yesterday. Very nice looking boat. I don't know if it's still for sale or not (didn't notice any signs on it), but it's a very clean looking and nicely equipped C-dory.

    Hey Red Fox

Not only that, you've already been "published"! You have a couple of great photos in the C-Dory brochure! :thup
