A tight fit trying to add the Airhead, sink, and storage for extended cruising into a CD 25 head, under the sink you can see the raw water foot pump that saves tank water.

Removable 170 watt panel is spaced up from an aluminum sheet with felt dots and silicone the angle is bolted to the arch with U bolts and also unbolts from the panel for storage. I moved the anchor light back and made it foldable so I can stow the dinghy on the cabin top and also not shade the panel. (Aluminum has to have all the surface sanded down to remove mill scale so it doesn't pit corrode near salt)

Just added another 170 watt lightweight Sunpower solar panel that is easily removable so when we are anchored out in Baja we will have almost 400 watts (almost 30 amps midday) of power to run the watermaker, fridge and freezer. We have 2 gp. 31 house batterys. So different than when we started cruising over 40 years ago!

I took out the space waster 6 gallon water heater in a port cabinet and instaled this high quality materials, super compact, 2.5 gallon Bosch up behind the galley sink, now almost instant hot water in the galley and the head. (At the dock shore power in Monterey harbor) ordered through Home Depot.

Our new eyebrow handholds, 220 watts of solar, new Lewmar windlass and 22# Rocna anchor. Dana had all new Sunbrella done along with all new interior upholstery and v-berths.

Lake Powell with our R25SC Tug Sequoia, 2018, we painted the Achilles, but we ended up really disliking it, the inflating floor and keel made it too heavy and the floor collected a lot of sand and debris.

Building our first boat, a 45 foot fiberglass Roberts, 1976 in Victoria Australia. When completed in 1978 we sailed her back to California via the Pacific islands. (I also laid up a 50 another 45 and a 32 for other people) Back then no GPS,the only electronics was a spinning depth sounder. Navigation was with a sextant and a clock with a bunch of published tables. No sail furlers, windvanes,solar panels or electric windlass's, times have sure changed!

Sequoia our previous R25SC, anchored in the Sea of Cortez 2017 (we sold her mostly because, huge to tow and launch, a lot of lakes don't have diesel and major maintenance headaches, love our C-dory)

The big red rig, 1 ton diesel, perfect for the R25 Tug but overkill for a CD 25 but decent towing mileage (between 12 and 16 depending on the terrain) and will crest any pass at the speed limit (900 ft lbs of torque)and only need the exaust brake all the way down.(heavier duty trucks may have the same engine power as lighter dutys but have WAY more powerful brakes, and on this truck I have seen up to 90hp of exaust brake hold back and will hold us to under 60mph on the steepest downgrades with the CD25) also only the 1 ton comes with the Aisin trans that won't overheat when towing.

We also removed the salt water head and instaled the airhead composting head from our previous Ranger Tug 25sc,we think it is less hassle than dealing with a holding tank. It has a constant on muffin fan so there is less odour than a standard head. We added 2 group 31 batteries and a large solar system so the tiny amp draw is not a problem.
