Kitty Knight House, spared by the British Rear Admiral Cockburn so the story goes the local militia fired on the British and in retaliation they started burning down the town, sharp tongued and defiant she impressed Cockburn and her house was spared. The rest of the town was burned to the ground. Today it's a Restaurant / Inn

Excellent deep water launch ramp,fee 12 dollars, rig parking 6.00 dollars per day, trancient slip 1.75 per foot. all amenities including pool launch, showers fuel dock with gas and diesel. If you look carefully you can see a 22 C-Dory Cruiser Salt-C just to the rear and left of the launch ramp area.
