HERE is a diagram of the parts in one particular 90HP Honda shifter. There is an idle lever shown but not sure how to change the friction. LOTS of parts!

Thanks for the diagram. Sure looks like that's the right one.........but ALL those parts........YIKES!!

I agree with Tom "YIKES". For me ( how it is intended to work) is increase the idle speed when lifted. I can live with the key chain foam to hold it up.
Would miss too much cruising to try to reassemble all those parts. Ha!

I've asked on the forum where I got this diagram how to increase the friction. When/if I get a response, I'll post it here.

I made a small bungee loop that can be used to tether the high idle handles to the main throttle/shifter. I also use it to keep the starboard engine at 2000 RPMs so I can start the Wallas.

page two of my album shows the bungee solution that apparently more than one of us figured out. It works fine, just adjust the height of the loop on the throttle levers to avoid over reving.
