Wow..se c-dory

Somebody donated that boat? Hubby got caught cheating?

Ill be interested to see what it finally goes for. The last project I watched on ebay was that stripped down hull in Alaska. That money pit went for alot more than I expected.

Karl,

Thanks for that link. Just the other day I "remembered" reading something online (years ago) about a woman who'd decided on a C-Dory 22 to do some Chesapeake cruising with. I had it in mind to do some web searching to try to turn it up. Now here it is!

They say 70 hp Suzuki does not work ? new motor is big bucks even a used one .Also trailer looks pretty bad .I would be surprized if it goes over 10k-12k interesting .

that alaska one went pretty high and it needed a lot.
the big downside to this sale is the time of year I think. they'd get a premium next spring.

spam alert-

a person could snag a deal on that boat and add a pair of nice, used, c-dory ready, honda 40's with controls and gauges that sportcraft marine has for sale and have a pretty good boat. :)

The hull numbers are the same. NC 1363 CF It appears to be the same "Landfall".

Perhaps if the stolen copper wiring were replaced the motor would work. The motor on the boat in the Susan Schmidt link looks like a Mercury.

We would suggest that you do not buy a boat that is this far away as it must be removed within 7 days, and generally once people figure out shipping costs for that distance they back out. We do not get involved in shipping or make references for shipping. We have never shipped a boat or assisted with shipping, this is all the responsibility of the buyer.

the C-dory is by far the highest value item they have on their ebay right now, but they aren't looking to assist in shipping.

If they did not provide pictures, with all the disclaimers I would worry that there was no boat involved in this ad!

Coincidence??

no coincidence there Mike...but if there was no actual boat for sale.....a person could still grab a nice set of honda twins :)

I've been running across Boat Angel ads for years on eBay (they list quite a few sailboats) and this is typical for them. They are strictly a donation place (not mariners), and their offerings are usually in pretty bad shape. Quite a few times I've even seen the boat completely mis-identified as to brand and model, or they'll say things that don't make sense to a boater such as the boat is meant for salt water, etc.

So, for better or worse, this is just their usual type of ad. What I mean is, from what I can see, it's not unusual or "suspicious" in the context of what they typically do.

i have a LOT of experience with questionable hotrods (rat rods), and old motorcycles that are promoted as "ran" (rather than runs). so as a buyer I always assume the worst and know fully what I'm getting into, but it seems as though they may have had experiences with buyers who expected their $300 sailboat to be outfitted like a $30k sailboat... kind of unfortunate but I get it.
