wireless computer modems

[HIGH TIME]

i have lived aboard since 2000. ( on a Bayliner! ) in 2003 i bought my first laptop. ( Dell ) since then i have used everyway under the sun to connect. several years ago, i switched to Verizon. starting with the Mobile Office Kit ( now obsolete imo )the PC card and the Express Card. the latter being a great improvement over the PC card. two weeks ago i upgraded to the new USB 720 Modem. i bought the 3 way attachment cable, 2 USB connectors ( to increase power ) plus the connection to the USB 720. i also bought the 10' extension cable. i'm now on a lake on the Great Tennessee River, surrounded by mountains. ( hills to you N'Westerners ) i could not do better with DSL. and, i must add that i'm a Verizon for lifer. Don

2 USB connectors ( to increase power )

Don, could you explain this further? I have the USB cable and receiver that Verizon furnished but am flummoxed by the above.
