What year might this engine be?

Could anyone tell me what the year of a BF90A with serial numbers: BBBL-1006967 might be? It is either a 97 or a 98; I am just not sure which year.

Here's one guide:

If you look way down in the pdf and find your frame serial number (BBBL-1000001 through BBBL-2999999), it falls in the BF90AT model. 'AT' indicates the year as 1997. If it was a 1998, it would be BF90AW.

Please note what Rob said above. The number you quote is the FRAME Number. Somewhere else is the ENGINE Number. Don't ask me why the frame number is out in the open and you have to search for the engine number. But keep looking until you find the engine number, for future reference.

Also, don't ask where the letters U and V went in the year sequence.
