Washing Anchor Rode

BC mentioned on another thread( no way I was going to post on that one) that he had washed his anchor rode in a large cooler. I put my anchor rode and all my dock lines in nylon mesh laundry bags and throw them is the washer. Comes out great, just like new.

Sheesh Ken, I had a perfectly good discussion started on that other thread. I assume your rode has chain spliced to it, if so, how does it behave in the washing machine? I thought about bagging it and throwing it in the machine but after some pondering concluded it would be cheaper to get a new rode than pay for a divorce lawyer

I forgot to mention that I can disconnect my chain and rode. I guess you guys with the fancy puller uppers will have to use the cooler.

Just get into really deep water, let it all hang out and rev them engines up to max rpm and hope you don't snag something and rip out your bow... :cry

You can sprinkle some ivory snow on the water and drive through it too.

Ok you guys, my wife is going to hear me laughing, come here and when I tell her that I was reading about a couple of guys discussing letting it all hang out, then it will .......
