Vortex Lubrication System Hubs

The difference between the Vortex and the Superlube is that the Vortex is a sealed system with the cap in place, where the Superlube has a rubber cap in place that isn't water tight.

I would be concerned with the aftermarket version that an owner would be tempted to "add just a bit more grease" and blow the seals out of the system.

In any event- used properly, these look interesting. The advnantage to the Superlube style spindles is that you can easily check the grease and add more as needed.

My trailer has the superlube spindles. If you keep them full of grease there is no place for water to go. I replace the seals every year along with the tin caps and rubber covers. I deal with salt water mostly and see no water contamination. I think the idea with the Voltex style is that on the after market version you only add grease when the threaded cap if off. Add grease with cover on yeah momma something has to give. I think the threaded cap is the only real difference in between the oem version of superlube and the new Voltex version.
