Don, a thanks to you too, as well as all the other veterans in CBrats! I think I will go up to the Portland Vietnam Memorial to pay my respects and visit a few friends who didn't have the opportunity to come back.

Steve, I forgot about the much older Veterans Day thread this morning otherwise I would have tacked it on there.

Yes, I hoisted one for dad, followed by a few more for shipmates on their final cruise and intend to continue working through the Brat vets I know and have crossed keyboards with. It's a special day and even though San Diego is a home port for thousands of ex/retired military, the Veterans Day parade is continuing to lose popularity. Last year it was sparsely attended....

Sad.

In any event, I'll not post anymore today. Too many toasts will eventually make it difficult anyway. :roll:
