Got a PM about my transducer location, if there was any pics... that link up there should take you to the electronics section of the site here. I added 6 with captions just now.
So far the only drawback are speeds over about 13 knots, the hull raises with more speed and catches too much air. But I'd not do it differently, at least on a Classic C-Dory.
Some reasons I went in-hull…
1. Reducing more cable clutter and routing hassles running back to the transom.
2. Engine noise issues seem far less.
(even over the prior trim-tab mounting aft of the prop)
3. no more banged-up-expensive-irritatin-tranducer-losses :?
4. I don't really need high detailed soundings when underway
5. Appearance
6. The river!
