Trailer Jack Corrosion Protection

I couldn't find where this has been addressed before. I just received my new Fulton 2500 lb replacement trailer jack (with footplate), just like my original that lasted nearly 10 years (can't complain)! The jackscrew finally froze up from rust apparently.

It worked so well for so long I never got around to pumping it full of grease to surround the jackscrew with grease, something I've done on previous trailers with great success. That would have greatly delayed or eliminated this problem I'm sure.

But I'd also like to spray the inside of the square tubes (where I can't flush with fresh water) with some kind of protection, like a one-time application. Maybe a tar-like substance that remains pliable -- any ideas?

Thanks all for the recommendations. The SharkHide protectorant sounds very good, but at $60/can + shipping, almost as much as a new jack! The CorrosionX Heavy Duty looks like the perfect solution ($16/can + shipping). I ordered a can.

Also want to use it on my anchor where there's a spot of galvanization that chipped off years ago, repainted several times with best corrosion type paint, still no good.
