Tom --

Welcome back -- glad the knee procedure worked well -- work hard on the p.t. (and on the plans for the Chessie Gathering!). Best wishes --

Tom - what Bill said! Well, knees are not really necessary for banjo playing anyway, are they!

Tom, welcome back. I did the right knee trick about 3 years ago (still hurts but I've gotten used to it). Working the attendance list now, have 14 signed up, need to generate some interest. Let's do it on the other discussion site though so we keep the thread going.

I've taken up the banjo lately, had about a dozen lessons, can't seem to make much progress but need to practice more. Have been doing about 20 minutes 2x a day since Monday so maybe this'll help. Still not sure if we'll be there or not this year but I will do the list and the nametags as last year.

Hi Tom,

Glad you have a new knee. I had mine replaced 4or 5 years ago and it works just fine. Work hard at the PT. I found that riding a bicycle is the best thing to keep the new knee working and pain free.

Pat and I may not attend this years gathering due to church commitments--sure hate to miss Saturday night and seeing everyone.

So, Charley goes to the doctor for knee surgery, and asks" "Doc, will I be able to play the banjo after this surgery?" The Doc says: "Yes, absolutely, no problem at all." Charley responds: "Great!! I've always wanted to be able to play the banjo!"

So -- is Tom also going to organize a Chesapeake C-Dory Band!!! Great idea, and Tom, you're the right guy to get it started -- you even have the venue for it!

I like the idea of a c dory band. How about banjo, voices and 25 kazoos...one rehearsal before Sat. night. We'll surprise 'em.

Advice on therapy is well taken. It is the secret i think.

Looking forward to seeing old friends and new.

Anyone heard from Terry and his band, The Red Hots?

Pat, that's just about right. The only problem is that my knee still hurts and I still can't play the banjo!! I do make noise though. The banjo does too! :disgust
