Were cushion covers in 1980s also made by Sunbrella? Heavy weave.

I don't know for sure, but my guess would be no. That's based on the more "nubbly weave" stock cushion covers I saw on a 1990 C-Dory. I believe the earlier Sunbrella was just the basic, relatively smooth, canvas-like Sunbrella that is their classic type of fabric. I think it's only been in more recent years that they have branched out into more fancy weaves and textures for decorating, etc.

But I'm just guessing; the good folks at Sailrite probably know this definitively. I've always found them happy to answer questions, and their catalog is a really useful reference.

Here is a link to a Sunbrella page for their "throwback" Icon Collection. I've seen the Volt patterns and texture-wise, they are basically just like plain Sunbrella canvas.

Thanks. Yes it is the knubby weave in grayish.
