We're getting more and more forum spammers signing up - we've had 3-4 a day on occasion in recent weeks. We're actually killing most of them before they get a chance to post, but every once in a while once sneaks through.

Just an FYI - if you follow up to a SPAM post, as several of you did this morning when "Steek" made his/her debut, don't be offended when your post disappears. I delete the whole thread when I see them.
 
you guys do a fine job of weeding those spamscum out, but, is there a way to backfeed some kind of e-bomb over the cyber highway into their computer and blow the SOB up ? man, that would be nice :)

I was one of the responders...and the bye bye message I posted was my own way of saying do away with this thread...not offended in the least....and never will be by this sites quick ousting of the "spamman".

I appreciate your efforts keeping this board as spam free as possible. I would love to be able to do something like Ken said . Their more annoying than mosquitoes in your boat at night when your trying to sleep, and deserve the same treatment....search and destroy

Well, I guess I'll do my part to get rid of spam...and go have a spam sandwich with some sun rippened Bama tommatows and a smearing of mayo.....sprinkle of salt-n-pepper of course.

I also was one of the people who saw Steek. I e-mailed him and told him to take off. Thank you for killing it. If I wanted to gamble, I would find me an Indian Reservation in Connuctuit.

Glad to see we are all thinking along the same thread.

This is one great site, thanks to the people who police it.

Just a note to those of you that may be emailing spammers. If you use your personal email account the spammer has your email address and you open yourself to more spam. They also sell your email address to other spammers. It’s best to just ignore spammers.
 
Thank you Dave. I thought about it after I did it. The guy just got me "ticked off". I get loads of spam E-Mail. A lot from people reading my boat ad. (Not a C-Dory.) The Nigerian Scam. The antispam programs at Yahoo.com are great, and get most of it.

Have decided to sell my boat , but seem to be to dumb to figure out how to post it with pictures in C-Dorys for sale. Would appreciate help on this

Gary,
Just click on Forums and down at the bottom is C-Dorys for Sale by Owners. Look at what and how others have posted and follow their lead. I would NOT put your email address in the text as it can be readily picked up by spammers.
