Either you folks need to start causing trouble so we have something to whine about in these announcements, or Bill's going to have to put a second picture or something in their place on the front page. The most recent site announcement until this one was almost three months ago.

We have discussed in the past our need to keep the announcments more current, but there just isn't much to announce, I guess. I suppose I could continue my rant about Google's gmail being a haven for spammers.

So, this announcement is just for the sake of announcing something..........
 
I've got something to complain about --- The other day my wife got an ad for a "wireless [unmentionable ladies' undergarment]" in the mail. Why the [gratuitous profanity] do you need an internet hookup in a [unmentionable ladies' undergarment]? What's the world coming to? Sheesh some people will make ANYTHING a wireless device!

Joe, you shouldn't have said anything........I don't think they were aware that you were creeping up on them. (All the rest of us were aware of it!) :lol:

Not to worry, Dave, Pat's got to WORK to MAKE A LIVING and KEEP THOSE KIDS IN SCHOOL.

I'm RETIRED, and have immense amounts of TIME to KILL.

Posted 16 times on one day a few weeks ago.

Pat would have to quit his job as City Attorney, give up his house, kids, and Patty, live under a bridge, and post for free at the library to stand a chance against my onslaught!

Now, back to the low-key approach...............

Wish I could, but I will be teaching course in Prague that weekend. Somebody's got to do it.... :lol:
 
That's just a poor excuse Roger, I would think that with proper planinng you could get both the class and the gathering done :)

A needed and timely announcement Mike....I see a lot of those spammers own 14" anglers.....man, I have gots to say, you have to watch out for those pervs in the smaller boats
 
Yea-- I've got a whine to complain about------ dang fires down here. Walked out of the house the other day and thought we had some funny looking snow on the ground----- only it wasn't snow--- it was ash! You couldn't see what color the car was.
Reminded me of Mt St Helens. Now I've got to wash the motorhome and the boat and the cars ---- again!

I drove past Pyramid Lake via the 5 last Sunday - the lake was closed with fires on two sides. Smoke on I-5 was like a bad fog except it did a number on the eyeballs. Time for air filter changes too, Roger. :cry:

Joe – I know what you can do. With all your spare time, write up a summary of all the post each day. That way those of us that are not retired and don’t have the time you do, will know what is happening here. You should start a new thread and call it Joe’s summary.
 
Ah - here's a rant - when posting, spell check hangs - not sure whether it's the site or my new PC.

BTW: I switched to an Apple MacBook after 20 years with MS.
Love that the MAcBook can run either OS and I'm starting to appreciate all the finer enhancements of an Apple.

The Spellcheck, or, more accurately, the Speelcheck (for rants, at least), doesn't work with the new GS-5 Mac computers.

I was told our pop-up blocker does it in, but even with the blocker turned off, the Spellcheck appears and then does nothing, somewhat like a woman who is only a tease. (Off topic, ten demerrits!)

That's a pretty lame excuse, Roger. I'm planning to drive all the way up from Oregon. That's got to be farther than Czechoslovakia or whatever they call it now.

I think we just finally got so tired of messing with it that we gave up.:crook

I don't really know Mac from Jack, or Crack from Smack, either, but know enough to leaf it alone. Now where's that Speelcheck dealie? :amgry
