1988 C-Dory 16 Angler with 2007 Mercury 60hp 4-stroke EFI outboard. Bought this boat last year and have been slowly fixing her up. Move forces sale.
*Important note at the outset: There is no trailer with this boat. Boat is in the water in a covered slip and buyer will have to arrange their own transportation.*
We acquired this boat last year with a filthy old 2-stroke motor. We purchased the freshly tuned-up Mercury 60 from an outboard mechanic in November who also installed it along with new motor controls including power trim/tilt. It has the “Big Foot” lower end gear unit with stainless prop. Runs great!
Boat includes: full canvas cockpit cover, plus canvas privacy covers for the windshield & side windows; electric windlass with Bruce anchor & all-chain rode; second Danforth anchor rigged with chain & rope for the stern; removable transom swim ladder.
Boat needed lots of work when we purchased it, mostly from neglect. Here are the highlights of the improvements we have made: new VHF radio & antenna; 2 new seats & 1 new seat pedestal; Humminbird Helix5 fishfinder/chartplotter; new battery, battery box & Perko switch; new 12v switch panel; new windshield wipers & manual operating handles; new stainless steel steering wheel; new illuminated compass; new automatic bilge pump.
Boat is structurally solid to the best of my knowledge. It does need a full cosmetic detailing. It also needs: new gauges (gauges now mounted in the helm are old & do not work); transducer for the Humminbird needs mounting to the transom; needs a couple new cleats installed (2 come with the boat).
