I just noticed two pictures taken of a new Smoker that Jon and C-Lou have constructed on their homestead. (They attempted to slip the photos in their album without anyone noticing them.... )
It looks like a few slabs of fish laid out in front of the smoker. I love the crescent moon touch on the smoker.....one way to keep fish thieves away.... :wink )
Great job, Jon and C-Lou.....hope to see you at the SBS/CBC!

Here, I'll make it easy...

Glad it was pointed out it was a smoker!
Man, someone in a hurry could have just thought they found an updated yard head with electric seat option rather than having to burn newspaper in the hole to keep the cheeks from sticking on a real cold morning. :xseek

Nice slabs laid out on the tables too!! :thup

Patrick, maybe it is a dual purpose building! Ever consider that? But then, I have never seen internal probe remote read thermometers on an outhouse...

Well...now we all know a little more than we wanted, about Jon's secret smokin' recipe... :xseek

Pat,

From the "Gravlax?" thread:
". . . they are of course "capers" not "cappers."

Third times the charm on the spelling?

to burn newspaper in the hole to keep the cheeks from sticking on a real cold morning.

once again pat has removed all doubt about the color of his neck.

what I really want to see are plans for building the smoker.

All kinds of plans in this book. You can borrow my copy.
