Slot on south jetty at Westport

I had two bad ebbs last week and the bar had standing breaking waves so I crossed the sunken jetty at the end of the south jetty. There really isn't a 'slot' but there is an area of calm water between the end of the south jetty and waves breaking over the sunken jetty. The calm area appears to be 5-7 feet deep at the shallowest point during max low. Just pick out a spot in the center between the breaking waves on the sunken jetty and the end of the south jetty. When it gets flat calm, you can cross anywhere. There is one high spot but it is on the charts, although it is off a little on my Furuno/C-map. The high spot doesn't come into play while crossing the slot unless you go too far west. I hesitate to give coordinates as the flat water seems to change as wind and swell direction come into play. Just be careful if there is a big swell, as that 5-7 feet can get pretty shallow on the bottom of a trough.
