I recently bought a '95 CD 16' Angler. The rubrail at the starboard bow was slightly damaged. Specifically about 8 inches of the rail was bent, shearing the rivet that hold the end cap and end of rail in place.
The original endcap was aluminum and I believe held in place by a rivet.
I called the CD factory and they provided me with the end caps that they are currently using....plastic. I was told that they should still work.
Can anyone tell me how the newer endcaps are fastened...it looks to me like they are not designed for a rivet. I would also appreciate any advise for a sound method of bending and reattaching the rub rail itself especially since
