Repairing Caframo fan

At Lake Powell, I got a window curtain tie-back caught in one of my Caframo fans (the one with the exposed blades), which broke the blade assembly off from the fan, leaving a stub. Defender sells replacement blades but the Caframo website does not have any info on how to change the blades. Before I order the replacement, I want to make sure that I have not damaged the fan itself. Can anyone advise on how these blades are attached to the fan?

Hi,
I can't see how they would be other than a press fit on to the shaft. You can talk with the Caframo people in Canada. Phone number 519 534 1080 or email them at contactus@caframo.com They seem to be very helpful as I spoke wwith them about getting a replacement mount. Lots of times install instructions come with the replacement parts.

Hey Warren if your fan is the 2 bladed Ultimate or 747 model the blade just is a press fit. The WM part # is 379860 for the blade only and looks like PT and Friday Harbour show stock and I'm sure any WM nearby will have/can get you one. Not bad if that's you're major breakdown of the summer!
