Hey there ol buddy ol pal TyBoo  Was pm'd and asked for this link to my Barby System on RF! I'm resurectin' this thread (since it's mine :disgust ) Will yas put it to in the new Gallry Forum :xtongue thnx :thup

Redfox, I like your step-by-step barbi illustration. Once I got past the shock of the initial drilling, that is, watching open heart surgery, I learned a lot about the operation. Fabulous explanation, dude.

Thanks for posting this Greg.

I completely agree with the above post, I get weak kneed at the thought of drilling such a big in my boat. Especialy at an ANGLE.

Thanks again Greg - U da man.

Yep, similar to the holes I drilled for my outriggers
I sent Greg a PM thanking him for giving me the incentive to bore big ol' holes in my boat.
I still can't quite bring myself to bore one below the waterline for my new washdown pump. Nope, gonna try something else first

It is a little un-nerving to think about drilling a "core sample" sized hole in the boat. I got to drill a pair of 2-1/2" mamas in the top of the gunnels in order to insert the gas filler necks for my long range tank mod. But those were nothing compared to the 4-inchers :!: I had to drill in the side for the filler neck access panels... I still sweat a little just thinking about it.

ThankyaGyz very MuchMon :thup Glad to be of assistance. You know that "howo" in the cabintop is huge :xseek
the ventilator ho' was the scariest .... 4- inch :x  Never a regret though, and fiberglass is easy to work with for me... :)

Just a quick report on the new Magma Catalina BB-Q:

So far I don't think it could be better :thup :) ... we have used it in the rain AND wind (up to 15 kts---all directions :o ) It does not burn stuff (as other models are reported to do) works great in nasty-weather to :thup only thing is... its heavy  but i guess that means it's built very well (probably why it works so well in cold weather---double-wall construction :thup )

out... :bat
