There is a 90 Yamaha on it with a swim platform on the port side. The steering cable for the 90 is in the way on the starboard side. The kicker will have to be tied into the main helm for steering as there is a large rocket launcher on the stern that was fabricated after market.
I have a 8hp high thrust kicker that I would like to use if there is enough room for it on the stern with out a bracket, but if the bracket is the way to go then so be it.

Some of us have used "Mini-Jacker" brackets. Cast aluminum, inexpensive and they work. Others have used adjustable lowering brackets. It depends on set-up, kicker leg length, trim tab location etc. Personally, if I had to do it again, I'd have one custom made, but the Mini-Jacker we have works.

As far as having the ability to steer from the helm, I just used a S/S tie rod like this: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Auxiliary-Motor-Connector-Rods/700014.uts It hooks your main up to your kicker. When your main turns, your kicker does the same. KISS.

Congrats on the new boat. She's a fine lookin ride, but then I'm kinda partial to 19s. I first tried the mini jacker but didn't see how in was going to work so sold it & went with garlick adjustable. I never swim in the ocean so I'd take off the swim platform & install on the port side. I have a Yamaha 9.9 hi thrust & it was a pretty tight fit. Just wondering, does that rear launcher apparatus kind of get in the way while fishing? Especially with 3 on the boat. 3 on my boat always seems a little tight. Vern

I fished over the motor when I had 3 people on board the first time I went out. It was no too bad and was a good place to lean up against. That was a rare occasion and I usually only fish 2 people. The issue will be getting to the tiller handle with the rocket launcher on there. I will look into the trolling motor brackets, thanks for heading me in the right direction.
