Painter's/Masking tape also good for...

Hey Gang, :D

I just finished a project on my CD16. Part of the project required laying out scribe lines on finished/polished material. Of course no one wants to scratch lines on pretty polished or finished material.

I used the painter's tape and laid out my scribe lines on the tape. I then located and marked several holes to be drilled, center punched through the tape, and then drilled.

Once everything was finished, I removed the tape.

This isn't new and some of the advanced craftspersons know this trick, but what the heck... someone may not know about it.

Anyone else have any tricks of the trade that could help us Knuckleheads? I have a tendency to learn the hard way. Thanks!
