NOMAD is now officially for sale. Check the for sale ads bottom right hand corner on the C-Brats home page. Go to 2009.

Martin.

NOMAD has sold. Her new mom and dad are Gina and Kyle from Victoria, Vancouver Island. They are a very nice young couple who are looking forward to many boating adventures and meeting some of you C-Brats out there.

I would like to thank all of you who contacted me when the boat came on the market but were just a tad to late to submit an offer. I hope you find what you are looking for soon.
We still plan to participate in future FH gatherings and the Great Canadian Gathering in what ever our new to us boat is. We have made a lot of friends at the gatherings, and as you all know, once a Brat always a Brat.
Unfortunately it looks as though we will have to miss the PR gathering in a couple of weeks. We are presently boatless and will be in Anacortes that weekend searching for a trawler type boat.

Could ADMIN please remove my ad 2009 C-Dory 22 For Sale
Many thanks.

Martin.

Martin and Andrea - IF we were getting a trawler type boat, a Monk 36 would be at the top of our list! Not that we are, but this boat seems to be the ideal combination of comfort and economy!

Pat, you are a good friend. If you front up the first 50k (I'll pay you back later) I'll get a Monk 36 :)

Hope we meet again before this season ends.

Martin,

We won't be done with the Great Loop and back in Washington State until December, then we are heading down to Arizona for three months right after Christmas - we won't be around with no definite plans until April 2018!

So have you narrowed the list of boats you are considering? The last year they made Monk 36s was 2007 I am told.

Pat

Hi Pat,

Monk 36s are neat boats, but to much boat for me. Lots of woodwork to look after. I want zero exterior maint (like the C-Dory) and a max length of 32ft so that it will go in my marina slip.

Wow you guys are busy, good for you. See you in 2018.

Martin and Andrea.

With Nomad sold, I did not want to say to much about our new (to us) boat until the documentation and insurance was in place. This has now happened and we are on our way as foot passengers this weekend to Anacortes.
The new boat is a Camano Troll 31. Next weekend is the annual Camano gathering at Browning, North Pender Island. We will be right by there when we check in at customs at Bedwell next Thursday.

Sad to miss the PR gathering. Ron and Anne are such super hosts, you will have a great time.

See you on the water somewhere.
Martin and Andrea.

I'll admit, I had to look up both boats.

The Monk 36 looks like a CHB (Taiwan) trawler. Me likey. 8) Especially, the added rear stateroom and head. Perfect for grand-kids or their parents. And papa and "jamma" still get their privacy up front! Ah, but back to reality...

The Camano 31 has lots of living space and the wrap around windows are awesome in the main salon/galley. Can one really do 17 knots?
