No spill fuel cans

Greetings! Not sure if this has been covered before, but may be of interest to those of you who fuel via. gas cans. Based on a boating magazine comparison trial, I purchased a 5 gal poly fuel can made by "No Spill Fuel Cans". Awesome product in my opinion. The design is ideal for fueling our Angler, as well as for safe transportation. The can is squarish and resists tipping during transportation. It has 2 handles, top and back, to facilitate 2 hand tilting into the pour position. The front face in the fill position sits flat on the gunnel with the filler spout perfectly engaged into the boat's fuel port. Best of all, fuel only starts pouring when you push the pour button. Absolutely no dribbling or spilling! There is a built-in SS strainer screen to catch particular impurities, and it's available in CARB and non-CARB versions. I purchased the non-CARB because the fill button is apparently easier to push and less likely to cramp your thumb while filling. The fill was as fast as with other cans I've used and the venting is all built-in. I purchased one can as a trial because they're pricey, but now I plan to switch over all our fuel cans to this type. No more straining my lower back holding the can while fueling, and hoping nobody rocks the boat and causes me to spill. They're available online through many vendors at slightly different prices. I bought mine from Contractor Bargains.com and was quite pleased with them. Later, Mike.

Those look like nice cans. That would be really handy when filling my tractor as it is almost impossible to fill it and not spill with a normal can.

I'm quite sure these lack the capability to automatically stop when the boat's tank is full, except insofar as one can anticipate and let up on the fill button. Still, the degree of control, lack of fatigue and tight seal are beyond any other can I've seen or used. Luckily our Angler has the new viewing cutout in the tank protector bulkheads. Mike.

If you don't want to read through the site above, the CARB was set up to protect/improve California's air quality, and among a lot of other things, was responsible for setting the emission standards for outboards that have resulted in the 2 and 3 star CARB ratings on new engines that forced a lot of design changes and the pushes toward direct injection and 4-cycle engines.
