Nice Slide Latches for Barber Chair

I found some really nice slide latches for those of you contemplating a Barber Chair (reversing seat.) Here's a link to a pic and line drawing of the Sugatsune KR-75.

The manufacturer doesn't sell direct, but they have a dealer page - click here, pick your state, change it to Retail, and you'll hopefully see a bunch of dealers listed. I had to special order mine from a local hardware store, but it only took a few days to get them. They actually dropped shipped them from the factory to me, so if you can't find anyone local, drop me a PM and I'll give you a contact for the hardware store I used. They cost me about $20 a piece.

They're stainless, super beefy, and best of all, they come with two types of latch plates and you use them both. I put the sliding bolts on the box seat, the two u-shaped catch plates along the vertical portion of the floor support, and the two flat plates on the horizontal portion of the raised floor.

When the sliding seat is in either position, I've now got two beefy positive engagements.

Two pics of my install are in the Cabin/Interior album, currently on page 11 - one with the seat facing forward, one with it facing rear.

Bill-

Those are great looking latches and a very professional installation. Great work, and thanks for the link!

I assume the square hole to the left of the latches is for the table leg?

If so, does it have a dress-up cover that has been removed?

Thanks!!! Joe.
