Just lit off a new desktop machine that will provide a computer upstairs for the kids when they're here. It's got Vista Home Premium on it and, while I have some Vista experience, I like XP a lot better.
It ran fine to start with and I even installed a wireless card in a slot so it could connect to my wireless system in the house. Wonder of wonders, that worked fine too!
I had initially brought the "control panel" up to uninstall a program that was there and that worked fine as well
Now, however, when I try to bring the Control Panel up, it flashes briefly on the screen and goes away. I'm sure it's something simple but I've rebooted the machine with no success.
Any ideas? And NO, I won't go see if it floats and get another operating system....
