mystery bracket in V-berth

In the upper port side of the V-berth in our 2006 22 Cruiser there's a pair of plastic clamps attached to the ceiling, and I couldn't figure out what they were for. I may have just cracked the case wide open while at work. Is it for holding the removable anchor light?

You win! There should also be a black cap mounted on the bulkhead at the helm to screw on the fitting when you remove the light...this to protect the contacts when the light is not installed.

I have brackets in the berth for holding the anchor light, dinnette leg, and a threaded widget for storing the cap that goes over the anchor light post when said light is removed.

That's funny, I was about to order a replacement cap for the anchor light base when I thought of the thing near the switches that looked like a fuse housing...

Hmm! I used a strechy plastic cap from a compressed gas cylinder to cover that for the last three years. Now I know what that wierd looking threaded plastic cap that ive been wondering about is for. Thanks kids! Vern/C-Dog

I have not used the light yet and the plug has always been in the light receiver. So where does the plug store when not in use? Ive never seen the place for it.

Mine is just below the wheel on the bulkhead. Don't get the cap on too tight. They can be a real #@**& to get off. The screw holding the threaded portion likes to spin.
