I saw a weather window made in heaven and headed to Beaufort NC on the Resilient for 5 days.
Fish were biting, Ocean was flat, weather was warm.
My old dog Teddy was so great on the trip.
She weighs 80lbs so my back is killing me after lifting her up and down off and on the boat 4 times a day but It was the best time we had in ages.
Love the boat, Love the dog, love eating fish, love adventure. What more can I say.
Thanks all for your encouragement.
Check out the pictures from the trip.

Way to go Rich!! So glad you got the first mission accomplished. Where do we go next? Looking forward to the next trip with ol' Teddy. George :thup

Knowing you have to lift the dog out frequently it wouldn't take much time to build a ramp for the dog. You could even build it with a center hinge so it could be stored when not in use. Made out of a 2x8, then put some sticky sand paper. All could be made for about 20ish

Thanks El and Bill!!

First day we hit a school of Gray sea trout off bouy Ar-315 and caught our limit of Gray trout. We could have filled the boat. We caught and released over 20. Kept supper.
Headed to Cape lookout and caught Sea bass but had to keep throwing them back because the season is closed.
Spanish Mackerel trolling Clark spoons.
Caught a 4 ft Shark on a live Pinfish.
Sea mullet (Whitting) bottom fishing.
Spots, Lizzard fish Yuck!
1 Gag Grouper.
See some of the pictures in my album.

I have a ramp design ready to go for the next trip

OOOPs, I forgot all the Bluefish!! I love taste of the small 1 to 2 lb ers

Very cool!

I have a Clark spoon from when we lived in AL. They're pretty popular down there. I'm going to try it here for salmon...just for fun.
