One of my jobs here is to watch the member list for spammer types and persuade them to ply their wares elsewhere. One of the things they always have in their profile info is a link to a website peddling whatever they have to sell. So naturally, when perusing the member list, the folks with the WWW button turned on catch my eye. So I click on the links. It is rare that one of them takes me somewhere undesirable, and usually the places I find are quite nice. I spend a lot of time on this endeavor, it seems. Lots of time.

Since my reasons for doing this are basically cynical, and the results are almost always refreshing and uplifting, I decided to start pointing out some of the neat sites I find so I can feel better about the whole process. Like this one from Cerahotl.

If you click on Memberlist at the top of the page, and then sort the list using Website as the sort method and Descending as the sort order, you'll see that there are (so far) 191 members with websites listed. Most of these are commercial sites, and a lot of them simply link back to the C-Brats, but in the list there are some real gems. If you have some time to spare and a need to shake off the winter blues, click on a few of the WWW buttons and see what fantastic things some of our friends are up to. If you find one or some that are particularly delightful, share the link in this thread. (If you find any that shouldn't be listed on our family forum, kindly let me know with a PM!)

I pointed out the one above because it was the one I found today. There are many more neat ones on the list. Have fun.

Judy writes about our travels here: Journey On's Travels .

They cover the last three years: Desolation Sound, Great Lakes and San Francisco Bay. And she's a great writer, I make it look interesting.

As a C-Brats user, I appreciate that the site is so well-managed, and that spammers are spotted and dispensed with.

As a content creater myself, I try to strike a balance between making salient/entertaining contributions to the discussions here and promoting my online content projects. Please let me know if I ever begin to behave in ways that risk crossing over to the "wrong side" of that balance.

PS - Read Navagear!

PPS - Read Puget Sound Maritime!

PPPS - :)

Tim,
