Joel's Tug KEA

I finally found several pictures of the Tug....but not in the water... I keep it it in the boathouse during the winter.... with the mast down...

It is a 21' Seahorse Tug... with a 30hp Yanmar... built in 1981 By Greer and Springer in Costa Mesa .... it is heavy construction fiberglass .. very strong and somewhat heavy... burns about a quart an hour.... and will easily pull a ton off the beach.... I use it to pull log booms and anchors (one ton anchors) used for boat docks and log booms.

Great dive boat...but kinda slow...top speed is 9 knots.

The pictures are in the "special section" of photos

Yes.....go to the "photos" area........then select the last section...the one for Special events and meaningful momentos " ....there are two photos...the first one is "favorite photos"...has 5 pictures in the album....there are two pictures of KEA in that album.

Wow Joel - that is cool! I think you showed me some pics a while back, but I forgot how neat the thing looks. Thanks for posting those for us.

If you have a mind to post some more pics, you have an album set up now.

Sorry I will have to search old disks to see if I can find any.....
she's in the boathouse until spring......usually May....that is unless I get the traveling blues with the C-Dory

Joel-

That's one neat boat! Looks like a lot of fun, and a great design!

Now you'll have folks around here doing searches for used ones.

(Anybody who describes the boat as "cute" and is already a certified C-Dory owner gets ten demerits for uttering the dreaded dockside comment from a typical dockside bystander!)

Joe.
